At The Terrace, we’re big believers that companies can play a huge role in making the world a more sustainable place by creating positive change. But we also know that figuring out where to start and how to make progress can be tough. That’s where we come in!


The Terrace is an Amsterdam-based sustainability consultancy. We support SMEs, multinationals and non-profits with ESG strategy, B Corp, EcoVadis, sustainability reporting, responsible supply chains and stakeholder engagement. From strategy and implementation to communication, we help organisations turn their sustainability ambitions into action.


We’re your go-to folks for all things sustainability. Whether you need help with a sustainability strategy, getting B Corp certified, CSRD, implementing changes, employee engagement, putting together a sustainability report, or even running a creative campaign, we’ve got you covered. ## 18 years of positive change

Our founder, Leontine Gast, was once the first CSR Manager at Albert Heijn. And with the launch of ‘AH Biologisch’, she was a pioneer in successfully mainstreaming sustainable products in the supermarket. But, making an impact takes time. Leontine experienced first-hand the tension between a slow-to-change business landscape and an increasingly fast environmental decline. She was impatient. That’s why, in 2007, The Terrace was founded. An agency to accelerate positive change. Since then, we have supported over 150 organisations with their sustainability strategy, implementation, and communication challenges.


Our CEO: Mother Nature


At the head of our team stands Mother Nature, our CEO. Sounds idealistic? It’s actually very down-to-earth. She has billions of years of experience – and we determine our course with her well-being as number one.


Surrounding the CEO is a team characterised by a drive for positive change, solution-oriented thinking, and a love for collaboration. Whether they are recent university graduates or experienced consultants, from strategy consultants to creatives, and from communication advisors to office managers.


Every day we work together towards a future-proof world. Because we believe in the power of organisations to make the changes that our society and planet need, as long as they have the right tools, strategy, and mindset.
