How Coveris Paper boosts its sustainability with help from The Terrace

From EcoVadis bronze to platinum

In today’s business landscape, sustainability is no longer a nice-to-have, it’s a benchmark for companies that want to make real impact. For Coveris Paper, a leading European packaging manufacturer, the commitments meant pushing beyond the Bronze EcoVadis medal they had earned in the past.

EcoVadis the global standard for assessing corporate sustainability, measures sustainability performance of companies across four pillars: environment, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Its ratings are widely used by companies seeking to build more responsible supply chains. For Coveris Paper, climbing the ladder meant demonstrating leadership across all four areas.

Coveris Paper’s journey toward sustainability excellence

Coveris Paper as a leading European packaging manufacturer, is committed to providing sustainable and flexible solutions for a broad range of sectors. That includes food, healthcare, pet care, and agriculture. With ambitions to move beyond the bronze medal they asked The Terrace to support them in taking the next steps.

Turning insight into action

The Terrace conducted a thorough review of Coveris Paper’s existing sustainability documentation and gave in-depth advice for all the questions in their questionnaire. Coveris Paper took the advice seriously. They revised policies, improved their reporting through a dashboard and implemented several changes across its operations based on their policies.

The result speaks for itself: a leap from the Bronze to the Platinum medal.

By achieving the Platinum medal, we are now among the top 1% of companies- a remarkable achievement we can be proud of. The Terrace has been a great help, challenging us to improve our performance.
