Cradle to Cradle Learning Community for like-minded business
The Cradle to Cradle Learning Community was a partnership between AgentschapNL (now RVO) and seventeen companies, including Philips Lighting, Ahrend and DESSO, who exchanged knowledge and experiences on Cradle to Cradle.

Around 2009, there were many businesses who started exploring the concept of Cradle to Cradle (C2C). There was a strong desire to exchange knowledge and experiences on C2C. To facilitate this, the Dutch government agency AgentschapNL came up with the idea of setting up a ‘Community of Practice’ or Learning Community for like-minded business with a leading position on C2C or sustainability.
Time to meet and create
The Terrace supported the Cradle to Cradle Learning Community over the course of two years. During this period, we helped to organize and facilitate over ten meetings of the C2C Learning Community, with a wide range of topics such as marketing, internal support and sustainable procurement. Created a booklet “Cradle to Cradle pays off!” with the insights from all the sessions with the companies. Helped to organize a big closure event at which the booklet was presented.
Networking and Nurturing: Building a valuable community of C2C innovators
As a result, the participants of the C2C Learning Community built up a valuable network with other companies that were working with the Cradle to Cradle concept. Plus, a booklet with an overview of insights on a wide range of topics related to Cradle to Cradle.
