Ecover’s integration challenge

From shared love to shared positioning

Ecover, a Belgium-based manufacturer of ecologically sound cleaning products, acquired Method, an American company in the same industry. Both brands shared their love for green chemistry and the mission not to harm the environment with their products. The problem: The brand positioning of Ecover and Method was completely different. Ecover, THE brand for all deep green consumers. Method, young and hip brand with a focus on sustainability.

Sparring partner and coach for the two mergers

After the merger the company faced an integration challenge. From a strategic and branding perspective. The Terrace became the independent coach and sparring partner for the international leadership team during this integration process.

Through a carefully managed integration process we co-developed the new Global Business Strategy, the desired joint culture, matching values and way of working. We aligned go-to-market plans in Europe in mainstream retail and natural foods industry
