Your climate strategy in four steps

We determine which GHG categories to include and select the appropriate calculation methods. Typically, we use the GHG Protocol, incorporating supplier-specific, expenses-based, or average data.

We gather consumption data from the selected baseline year for Scope 1, 2, and – if applicable – Scope 3 emissions. We also advise on how to collect this data most efficiently, both from within and outside your organisation. This data, along with emission factors, is used to calculate the total emissions.

We create a transition plan to reduce climate impact by setting clear targets and defining for the short term (often 2030) and the long term (typically 2050). This can include setting and validating science-based targets with SBTi. Additionally, we help you to make progress towards your targets, by choosing reduction actions, defining responsibilities and monitoring progress.

We also advise you on suitable CO₂ removal projects to further reduce the remaining climate impact.

We ensure that you can effectively communicate and report the results in line with relevant regulations, such as the CSRD and EmpCo (Empowering the Consumer for the Green Transition Directive).

The Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) sets rules for establishing and validating science-based targets. This is currently based on Standard V1.3.1, but from February 2027 onwards, Standard V2 also comes into effect. Standard V2 sets more and stricter rules around target-setting, transition planning, accountability and disclosures. We are happy to tell you more about the differences between the two Standards, and which one would suit your organisation best.
